RASMUS BENTZEN

Chairman

HANISH CHANDARIA

Hanish is an entrepreneur, banker by profession, with +20 years business experience. He is part of a family business group with interests in manufacturing, commercial banking, farming and real estate development.

In addition to being Chairman and Shareholder of Blowplast Group, he is a Director at Guaranty Trust Bank (East Africa), Kenpoly Manufacturers, Subati Group, Koko Networks and Apptivate Africa. Hanish has a BSc in Economics and Maths (Bristol 1994) and a Masters in International Business (Grenoble 1996).

SANJAY BRAHMBHATT

Sanjay was born in India in 1973. From a very humble background, Sanjay lost his father at the age of 3 years forcing him to grow up quickly. In the process, Sanjay developed his strong leadership skills.

Sanjay specialized in Finance and Marketing and is the current MD of Blowplast Kenya. He started his career at Blowplast as an Accountant and rose through the ranks to hold his current position. In his role, Sanjay works to empower his employees to believe in themselves, deliver results, and achieve goals in their professional lives. Sanjay is committed to driving forward Blowplast’s promise of being a company built for the future and continuing to lead the industry in innovation and quality. Sanjay looks up to the former US president Barack Obama as his role model.

AMIT SHAH

Amit Shah was born in Nairobi in 1978. He is fondly referred to as SURU by his family and close associates. A nickname that started in his younger years.

Amit is currently managing Blowplast Uganda and is focused on strategic business growth with new supply agreements and increased production targets. The hands-on practical experience and education he gets from running the business gives him immense satisfaction and he wouldn’t have it any other way. If he was to possess one super human power, for Amit, that would be flying.

HARI NATHWANI

BSc Economics (hons) from London School of Economics. Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and ICPAK Kenya. Served as ICPAK Council Member for nine years. Founder, director of Kenya College of Accountancy.

Inspired and influenced by his own family, by Gandhi’s life in all spheres, and Bill Gates in business and philanthropy. Hari believes in being a good citizen, being charitable in word and deed wherever possible and always demonstrating professionalism.

RASMUS BENTZEN

Rasmus Bentzen is the Regional Manager for East Africa at Kibo Capital Partners; a manager of private equity funds with a focus on growth investments in Sub Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Kibo in 2019, Rasmus worked in Corporate Finance at Genghis Capital, a Kenyan investment bank where he covered debt and equity placements as well as M&A transactions across East Africa.

Rasmus holds an MSc in Applied Economics & Finance and a BSc in Economics & Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.

PETER BEARD

Peter Michael Beard is an internationally orientated CEO/Managing Director and business leader with over 35 years’ experience in Europe, Asia and Africa in the Retail, FMCG and general commodity areas.

Peter is an expert in change management, strategic plan development and leadership skills to deliver top and bottom line results and build prosperous business in developing markets. Experienced in operating with PE organizations with specific skills in business turnarounds and facilitating change. High energy motivation style with intuitive people skills.

RAVI PATEL

Ravi Patel is the co-founder and CEO of Subati Group in Kenya. With a background in Banking and International Finance Ravi has been instrumental in building the Subati brand and helping the company achieve exponential growth over the last ten years.

Subati Group is a grower and exporter of over 100 varieties of spray and single head roses, as well as fresh herbs. Subati exports over 80 million stems a year to 25 different countries around the world.
